I just added a new vocabulary feature to (so far only a few of) the recipes on cookandlearngerman.com, to enhance the language learning experience. Using a python script I programmed, I identify the 3 most infrequent German words in each blog post/recipe as I assume that these might be the words that language learners don’t know yet. I provide a definition of these words at the beginning of the post and highlight the words in the text so that the learner can see the words used in context. On the site with English translations, an English translation for these words is provided and both the German and the English words are highlighted in the text. I would be grateful about any feedback regarding this new feature!!!
